Adama Ndiaye Brings Black Fashion Week to Paris

She saw a problem, and she set out to fix it, even with all the criticism and backlash her solution to the problem elicited. For the first time in the history of fashion in Paris, Adama Ndiaye, founder of the Adama Paris line and organizer of the successful Dakar Fashion Week event organized Black Fashion Week in Paris in order that black fashion designers and models in the fashion capital of the world would also have an opportunity to have their designs on the global market.

The beautiful Senegalese designer who is resident in France was not deterred by the naysayers and opposition. As she put it “Paris is the capital of fashion. It is so important for designers to show here.” And they did, in style. See some of the designs that made it to the runway below:
