Destination IMAN is Here!!!

Trendsetting fashion supermodel Iman is not just a beautiful face; she’s also a savvy business woman. She has been on the fashion runways, has graced the covers of countless magazines, and has a profitable business in her home shopping network, IMAN Global Chic on HSN and her beauty line, IMAN Cosmetics. And she has just added another venture to her already full list of accomplishments. Not bad for a girl from the horn of Africa.

Iman has just released a new website called Destination IMAN, which caters to her fashion trendsetting followers.

According to Iman (in an interview granted to Essence Magazine), her inspiration for creating Destination IMAN was to create a website which would answer the many questions  she encounters on a daily basis about how she is able to look so good at 57.  Such encounters led her to write a blog post about aging fashionably. She e-mailed the blog entry to her friend Arianna Huffington, who immediately asked her to write a monthly column. Soon after, the concept for Destination Iman was born.

Each month on Destination IMAN, readers can expect a column written by Iman called Ageless Chic. Ageless Chic speaks to women over 40.

Iman, who began her career in 1975 as a model, has challenged the prevailing notions of beauty ever since she arrived on the fashion scene.  The IMAN brand believes that “women with skin of color represent many races, cultures and ethnicities and are therefore designed to cater to a larger clientele – African American, Asian, Latina and multi-cultural women with skin tones in a myriad of shades.

Iman is also actively involved in several charities, including The Children’s Defense Fund, Action Against Hunger and the RAISE HOPE FOR CONGO campaign. Check out Destination IMAN for more
