I AM Congo Video Series: A Must Watch!

| May 1, 2012

A publication in today’s Huffington Post caught my attention and I just thought I’d share this wonderful transformation. Ordinary people in Congo are sharing their lives in the form of video messages in a video series called I Am Congo. The series, launched by the Enough Project, tells the stories of how ordinary Congolese citizens are making life-changing decisions and helping others overcome their own tragic stories.

One video in the series follows the life of Fidel Bafilemba, a former militia member who has now turned his life over to a greater cause – human rights activist and community organizer. The people of the Congo are determined to rebuild their lives and to reclaim their dignity. This series helps to portray that. It gives us a glimpse into the dreams that have gone far beyond ending a war, to dreams to recapture what was lost and to claim what is to be found. The Congolese people are standing up for what they believe in, and Afrikan Goddess Magazine stands with them in this very important fight/mission.
