Africa’s Premier Award Honoring Africa’s Charitable Women.
Afrikan Goddess has featured women from across the African continent on our front cover since January 2009. These are women who have availed themselves to a higher calling of selfless service to their communities, and who have accomplished personal acheivements worthy of recognition.
Women chosen to be honored are picked by readers and fans in a fair and transparent voting process overseen by a selected voting committee.
Afrikan Goddess seeks to honor Africa’s charitable women in an effort to encourage more women to follow in their footsteps and to strive to make a difference. Award recipients gain great honor in receiving the Goddess of the Year award.
The first goddess of the year award, scheduled for June 9, 2012, promises to be the first of many to come. The award ceremony will accomodate a small, intimate, and influential number of invited guests and friends/supporters of Afrikan Goddess.
